Chilli and Walnut Humous
One of my favourites – I love humous and eat it every single day! So any variation is welcome-this is a Turkish speciality I tried over the summer and was given the recipe by a local chef-add more chili if you fancy! 🙂
ingredients
tin of chick peas – or dried and soaked if you prefer
2 teaspoons of tahini paste
1 red chili
1 clove garlic
100 grams of toasted walnuts
lemon juice
handful chili flakes
chopped coriander
splash of olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
method
dry fry the walnuts for 5 minutes
add into food processor with everything else and blitz to preferred consistency
