European Cycling Challenge 2017 (1-31st May)

The European Cycling Challenge is the biggest urban cyclists’ team competition, which takes  place every year May, 1-31.

Join the Team of your City, track your bike trips, challenge other European cities!

European Cycling Challenge 2017

Are you up for joining cyclists across the region who are pitting their pedal power against 50 other European cities next month?

If you fancy being in with a chance of winning one of dozens of prizes, sign up to the European Cycling Challenge (ECC) and help Greater Manchester take on the likes of Rome, Barcelona, Dublin and Glasgow by clocking your cycling mileage and data using the free Naviki app.

The app helps each cyclist to contribute to the overall Greater Manchester ‘team’ mileage and, during the month-long challenge that runs from 1 to 31 May, you can check progress and overall league position in real-time via an online league table.

Those who sign up and record a minimum of 10km during the challenge will be in with a chance of winning shopping vouchers worth £300, £100 and £50, as well as being entered into weekly free prize draws with lots of cycling-related goodies up for grabs.

Born from an idea in the city of Bologna as a small pilot with around 70 people, the ECC is now one of Europe’s largest cycling events: during the 2016 edition, 52 cities from 17 countries joined the challenge, and 46,000 people cycled four million km in a month.
