Every year more than 2 million migrating birds, including robins, thrushes and nightjars, are illegally trapped and killed in Cyprus as part of a criminal food business.
A major part of this illegal killing occurs on UK territory on the island.
Its effect reaches far beyond Cyprus as the birds are slaughtered on their migration between Europe, Asia and Africa.
Our Friends of the Earth Cyprus group wants to protect these birds but they need our help to get the UK government to play its part.
With the autumn killing season upon us, please ask UK Defence Secretary, Sir Michael Fallon MP, to stop the illegal killing of protected birds in Cyprus.
