Demand investment in cleaner, better public transport

take action

Our public transport is in crisis. Rail chaos, shrinking bus networks and appalling local infrastructure mean we can’t reliably get from A to B on time – and millions of us are being forced to drive.

The government’s solution is spending billions on motorways and white elephants like HS2 – which totally fail to address the transport needs of millions of people.

If we want to help people out of their cars and combat climate change, the government needs to ditch its obsession with motorways and HS2. And instead invest in cleaner, better, affordable public transport – that will actually make it possible for people to leave their cars at home.

Sign the petition to urge the government to invest in public transport that works for everyone.

Petition text below:

To: Chris Grayling, Transport Secretary

Our public transport is in crisis. I urge you to rethink your motorway and HS2 schemes, and invest the money saved in clean public transport and better walking and cycling amenities that meet the needs of the people of this country.
