BREEZE FROM RADCLIFFE TO EDENFIELD (Breeze Ride)

Suitable for all bikes apart from road bikes with slick tyres! Recommend grippy tyres. A route along canal paths, road and trails, its hilly and can be challenging in parts. We start at Radcliffe Asda, head to the Radcliffe Canal Path, to Burys cycle paths up to the Kirklees trail, get to Greenmount and then continue along National Cycle Route 6 across Ramsbottom, up to Stubbins Hill towards Edefield.

A welcome break at the Drop Off Cycling cafĂ© then back down Walmersley Road, all the way to the cycle path at the back of Tesco, back towards the canal path and to Asda. ***The ride is a long one and depends on the riders who come along and can take around 5 hours so allow enough time, especially if you are a Mum needing to collect children from School. I do not recommend it if you are on a tight timescale. *** Make sure you arrive with a road worthy bike, pumped up tyres and bright clothing to be visible to other road users, worthy of the weather. Its worth getting your bike checked out if you haven’t used it for a while and get advice about the best seat height and fit for a comfortable ride. If you have any questions, contact me on the Facebook Bury Breeze Network messenger facility or send me an email at luciacronin@hotmail.com. Bring your own puncture repair kit and inner tube to fit your bike.

Places are limited so please book online.
