CAN is a coalition of organisations in Greater Manchester who believe that the area needs radically better transport, including quality public transport and safe pedestrian and cycle routes.
We support the Transport Innovation Fund (TIF), the plan to invest around 3bn in improving the area's transport and to introduce a peak-time congestion charge.
We aim to highlight the wide-ranging benefits of TIF and to make sure that environmental and social issues are at the core.
For more details on the plans, please see www.gmfuturetransport.org.uk (a site by AGMA and GMPTE). CAN is a member of the YES coalition.
Remember that we only get this huge investment if enough people vote for it. Don't be complacent, make sure you VOTE YES.
Pass on this important message to your friends, colleagues, people at the bus stop, and anyone who'll listen.
To help you do this, we've produced leaflets and posters for you to print out and display up in your communities and because we know that you need to be well informed, we've provided a fact check.

Greater Manchester's public transport is at bursting point, our A roads are the most congested outside London, and our rate of childhood asthma is double the national average.
£3 billion of investment is on offer: the Transport Innovation Fund. Half of this would be a loan, paid through a peak-time only, limited congestion charge. It is expected than 9 out of 10 drivers will not pay this.
This December you need to make a choice in a Greater Manchester Referendum.
More transport choices More buses, double-length trams and extra rail carriages mean more chance of a seat for you, double the park & ride spaces, more cycle routes, a cycle hire scheme and 120 more Yellow School Buses to get your kids to school.
More convenience More frequent services not only at peak times, but also in the evenings and at weekends, more real-time information, and a smartcard ticket that lets you switch between buses, trams and train without having to buy different tickets.
More reliable journeys More bus lanes and segregated busways, a second Metrolink city centre crossing, and less congestion on the roads will make your journey to work quicker and more predictable.
More action on climate change and air pollution We urgently need to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and clean up our air, and investment in walking, cycling and public transport is a vital step.
