about CAN

CAN is a coalition of organisations in Greater Manchester who believe that the area needs radically better transport, including quality public transport and safe pedestrian and cycle routes.

We support the Transport Innovation Fund (TIF), the plan to invest around 3bn in improving the area's transport and to introduce a peak-time congestion charge.

We aim to highlight the wide-ranging benefits of TIF and to make sure that environmental and social issues are at the core.

For more details on the plans, please see www.gmfuturetransport.org.uk (a site by AGMA and GMPTE). CAN is a member of the YES coalition.

VOTE YES! and spread the word

Remember that we only get this huge investment if enough people vote for it. Don't be complacent, make sure you VOTE YES.

Pass on this important message to your friends, colleagues, people at the bus stop, and anyone who'll listen.

To help you do this, we've produced leaflets and posters for you to print out and display up in your communities and because we know that you need to be well informed, we've provided a fact check.
