CBI Conference Action
Exposing corporations...
| When? | November 2002 |
| Where? | CBI Conference, GMEX Centre, Manchester |
| Why? | To expose the environmental and social damage of corporations. |
| How? | Posing as naked business men! |

On the second day of a three day conference of the Confederation of British Industries (CBI), Manchester Friends of the Earth exposed the CBI as opposing the introduction of environmental protection measures.
The group called on ministers attending the CBI conference in Manchester this week to make corporations fully accountable for their bad practices. To highlight their exposure of the CBI, members of the group dressed as naked businessmen with just a briefcase for modesty!
FoE claim that, through its lobbying activities (including via its European body, UNICE), the CBI has actively sought to weaken a draft EU liability directive which was specifically aimed at helping to deal with liability for oil spills. The CBI has also opposed other measures aimed at protecting the planet.
Michael and Graeme show they have balls.
