A Breezy Tuesday evening

Great, predominately traffic free route exploring Wigan’s natural environment created by it’s mining heritage. The ride starts at 3 Sisters Visitors Centre situated by the Lake. Get some fresh air and meet some new people by joining this scenic ride around canals and some of Wigan’s beautiful flashes.

Our meeting point is 3 Sisters Visitors Centre – the nearest train station is Bryn Train Station, 1 mile away, or you can park at the free car park not far from the meeting point. Once we’ve checked over our bikes and warmed up, we’ll ride out on a traffic free path, passing many flashes alongside the canal and then joining the ‘Wigan Greeheart’ cycle path and making the most of the fresh air. After stopping at Morrisons for a cake and a cuppa, we’ll ride back via the recently landscaped Amberswood Common. The route is bumpy in places. Wear comfortable clothing –a helmet is advisable, though not essential. Grown-ups only ˙ ͜ʟ˙ – look forward to seeing you there!

Places are limited so please book online.
