Bike Friday (various locations)
Normally, held on the last Friday of the month, Bike Friday is a set of led commuter rides into Manchester from various starting places around Greater Manchester. Most rides leave at 8am but check the website as they vary depending on the distance from Manchester. Rides finish at the Erza and Gil Cafe in Stevenson Square, Manchester City Centre, M1 1FR.
Friday 30th June 2017: This month we have a special event to mark the opening of the Oxford Road separated cycle route. We’ll meet at the usual locations (see below) and then cycle to Whitworth Park. We’ll be at the park from 8:30 ready to depart at 8:40. We’ll then head to Albert Square for 9am. You can join us at the usual locations listed below, at Whitworth Park, or at Albert Square for coffee.
Whether you’re new to cycling, returning to your bike after a break, or cycle every day, join us on Bike Friday. We ride at a moderate pace and have experienced ride leaders. It is entirely law-abiding – we do not try to slow down the traffic. All welcome (bring a bike).
For some of the Bike Friday rides we team up with other organisations such as British Heart Foundation (Wear Red) or Sustrans.
