Bury and Rochdale with Hills (Breeze Ride)

This is a challenging and hilly route with some long, steady climbs but has scenery to reward your hard work. You will need a degree of cycling fitness and be confident and competent at road riding in a group. However, we will always wait and catch our breath after hills. We will head down Walmersley Road, turn left and head past Fairfield General Hospital and towards Rochdale. We will then head through Norden and go over the tops past Owd Betts until Edenfield.

We will then drop down into Stubbins for a short cafe stop. We will then head towards Ramsbottom and head for Hawkshaw, Harwood and then head towards Ainsworth and to Bury and then back up Walmersley Road to our start point.

The weather can be bleak high up so reflective clothing and working lights are essential. Please ensure your bike is in good working order and that you bring along an inner tube and pump.

If the weather is particularly inclement on the day the route may be shortened.

Places are limited so please book online.
