Commute Ashton – Manchester Piccadilly (#RideWithUsGM)

A led social commuter ride for all abilities. If you’re not sure of the route to work or fancy some company as you make a start, this is the ride for you. Our friendly instructors will lead you from Ashton to Manchester Piccadilly train station using cycle infrastructure along the way. There will be carrying speeds so no one is left behind.

Every Thursday for 5 weeks starting from the 22/02/2018.

– 10 miles

– 1 hour, 20 minutes

Schedule for the rides:

07:15 – Meet TfGM Cycle Hub, Ashton-Under-Lyne bus station, OL6 6DU

07:30 – prompt departure

Participants are welcome to depart the ride at any point if the full route does not suit you—just let the ride leader or support rider know in advance.

We advise:

– A roadworthy bike

– Warm / waterproof / reflective clothing as required (including gloves)

– A comfortable backpack

– Appropriate lights

– A change of clothes for work, if applicable to you

The main thing is just to get on your bike and to use the power of two wheels to get you into work as before you know it, riding will feel second nature!

Book your place online.

#RideWithUsGM

Together with a number of our partners and volunteer groups, we are bringing you a variety of events and rides throughout February and March aimed at empowering more women to saddle up and make more journeys by bike throughout Greater Manchester.

Pick a cycle squad to join on a commuter journey into Manchester or a social ride on the often scenic off-road routes.

Skill up with cycle training or a maintenance course.

Or let us persuade you to give cycling a go with women who have been there, done that at our social events.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is listed in our cycling events calendar for Greater Manchester. It is not organised by Manchester Friends of the Earth nor the Love Your Bike campaign and does not necessarily reflect their policies. We recommend checking with the organisers in case of a change of time or location.
