Contact Theatre’s paper free cycling advert ….

Contact Theatre are planning some cycling activity during Fresher’s week along Oxford Road which we hope to stimulate conversation about climate change and promote our homegrown young people’s show Climate of Fear which explores climate justice and social inequality.

Contact is in the top 1% of most environmentally friendly venues in the North West and we’re always striving to find innovate ways to promote our building and the work we do. We want to engage with the wider cycling community in Manchester and we’re looking for cycle loving volunteers to help us stage a paper free promotional event (so much paper waste goes on at freshers!) using bikes as our promo tool on the 18th and 20th in September at 12pm along a short route on the Oxford Road stretch. Please come and lend a hand.

Dates:  Monday 18th and Wednesday 20th of September 2017.   Time: 12pm – 1pm.

Meeting point: Central Library – Manchester

Coordinator: Ed Cox  (map of route will be available pre-ride)

Climate of Fear runs from Tuesday 3rd Oct to Friday 6th of October

Concession tickets are available.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is listed in our cycling events calendar for Greater Manchester. It is not organised by Manchester Friends of the Earth nor the Love Your Bike campaign and does not necessarily reflect their policies. We recommend checking with the organisers in case of a change of time or location.
