Cycle our City with confidence route 3 (Women on Wheels event)

hLed ride, by women Ursual Harries and Glynis Francis, for women wanting to feel more confidence when cycling in our city.

Meet outside Coffee Cranks Cafe in Alex Park, cafe is open if you want a coffee before hand and toilets are available.

We will use cycle friendly routes in and out of town. We will be stopping to share suffragette stories at some of the landmarks in the city, the main one being the Pankhurst Centre. Here you can have afternoon ‘tea and top tips’ on cycling, kit, accessories and a chance to view Cycling to Suffrage exhibition. This ride will also visit HOME, TfGM’s main Women on Wheels event.

Suffragette costume is optional!

We welcome daughters/nieces over 16 cycling with you.

Bike and helmet hire is possible but have to be booked in advance.

Please make sure your bike is fit for the road, tyres pumped up, brakes working, and you have a lock to chain yourself and bike up at the Pankhurst Centre!!!

This is run in partnership with The Bike Hive and funded by TfGM Women on Wheels programme

Book your place via Eventbrite.

(Finally….if you are unable to make the day please remove your name so other women can take your place)

PLEASE NOTE: This event is listed in our cycling events calendar for Greater Manchester. It is not organised by Manchester Friends of the Earth nor the Love Your Bike campaign and does not necessarily reflect their policies.
