Discovery Ride (Droylsden)
We are organising a few local discovery rides in the Droylesden area to encourage people to have a go at cycling.
These rides will take about an hour and experienced ride leaders will make sure that the pace is comfortable and that everyone has a good time. The routes will include a mixture of quiet roads and traffic free routes and are a great way to gain a little confidence and explore the local area and meet other local people having a go at cycling. Some of the benefits of coming on one of our Discovery Rides are:
- Have fun discovering local routes
- Guidance and support from experienced instructors
- Comfortable pace and distance
- Gentle exercise in the fresh air
- Ideal for family and partners
- Confidence building
- Meet other local people on their bikes
- Bikes and helmets available (booking required)
Although the rides are mainly aimed at adults, young people aged under 16 may come along if accompanied by an adult. You need to be able to ride a bike to join the ride but do not need to be a particularly confident and experienced cyclist.
If you can’t make this ride then don’t worry other rides are due to take place on Wednesday 7 May, Saturday 10 May and Thursday 15 May.
If you are interested in the rides but are not yet able to ride a bike then you could attend one of our free Learn to Ride sessions (courses advertised on this site).
Please note helmets must be worn on these rides.
Places are limited so please book online.
