This Thursday we’ll carry on from where we finished last time at Shillingford Rd but then cycle west along the Floop cutting back obstructive growth at the path edge, particularly the long, arching, non-fruiting canes of brambles that are already over the track or are heading there.

We’ll not be disturbing the main bramble patches, nor generally be cutting any growth that’s getting ready to bear fruit.

If we get as far as Levenshulme, we’ll do a bit of tidying in readiness for the visits by the HandleBards over the next 2 weeks, please see below.

What to wear: Something fairly bramble-proof and whatever’s needed for the weather ….. and if you have one, your hi-vis vest.

We’ll provide:
— Cold drinks, tea, coffee and biscuits/snack including bananas & fruit loaves.
— Tools & gloves …. though if you have your own favourites, feel free to bring those.

It helps if you can say if you expect to be there, so we know what tools & food to bring, and can get in touch if there’s any change in the plan.
