Health on Wheels sessions – Wigan & Leigh (Pennington Park)

Our 30 minute Health on Wheels cycling sessions are an ideal way to help regain your confidence with 1-1 support with one of our volunteers.  They take place on traffic free routes from one of our six pods across the borough, and cycles and helmets are provided at no charge.

When you feel more confident, we’ll then support you to progress to our longer 1 hour cycle rides.  They also take place on traffic free routes and are a safe, fun and social way to experience your local green space on two wheels.

Level 1 Beginners – 30 minutes.   Ideal for those looking to improve balance and confidence on 2 wheels

Level 2 Intermediate – 1 hour.  Ideal progression from our beginners cycling session; pace 4-5 miles per hour

Level 3 Progression – 1 hour.  A further progression from our Intermediate session; pace 5-6 miles per hour

Bring your own roadworthy bike or use one of ours, but booking is ESSENTIAL for all our rides – contact the team on 01942 488 481.  Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the ride so that bikes and helmets can be fitted and the ride can leave on time.
