Manchester Bee Bike Tour

This unique tour brings together Three Bees Co-operative’s knowledge of beekeeping and Manchester Bike Tours’ experience of heritage cycle tour guiding. On the tour we’ll shed light on current issues for today’s beekeepers whilst exploring Manchester’s history as the ‘hive of industry’ – going back to the 1840’s.

Meet at 10.30am outside the Tea Hive cafe on Manchester Road. Our first stop will involve visiting hives and honey tasting in Longford Park and from there we’ll head into the city centre, visiting more bees (both living and architectural) on the way. Total cycling distance approximately 6 miles always at a leisurely pace on a mix of cycle paths and city roads. The tour finishes at 1.30pm at Manchester Museum with the option of visiting the current ‘After the Bees’ exhibition’.
