Torside Long Haul (Ride Social)

Although ridden at a steady pace this is quite a challenging ride with a fair few climbs for experienced cyclists (see route map)

This Greater Manchester Ride Leaders ride is open for anyone to join

Mostly on busy roads we leave Hyde station over Wernerth Low to Marple, from there we climb up & along Glossop rd descending in to Glossop, then climb out of Glossop via B6105 Woodhead road alongside Torside Reservoir to Crowden, the furthest point of the ride.

Our return is quite straight forward & sees us riding back along Woodhead road on the opposite side of Torside (very busy traffic wise) through Tintwistle, Hollingworth, Godley & finally returning back at Hyde Station.

community, and are not organised, approved, or insured by British Cycling. Riders take part
at their own risk.

Riders must be at least aged 16 or above to participate unless accompanied by a parent or

Riders should be in good health and any rider who has a doubt about their health or fitness, or who has a medical condition or injury that could be affected by exercise (particularly a heart condition), should consult their doctor before participating.
