Velodrome track public taster session

An introductory session for beginners to the Velodrome. You’ll be riding with up to fifteen other riders for one hour’s duration. You’ll be given a set of skills to learn by the coach and each rider will be provided with a bike and helmet. The Taster sessions are great fun and are one of the most popular track sessions provided, so whether you want to be the next Jason Kenny or Laura Trott, or are just keen to see what it’s like to ride around a banked velodrome, this is the session for you. Bring some friends or family for an experience you’ll never forget.

For public track taster session or spin session you will need to register with us please register here Once registered please check the track timetable for a session which you are available for. Once you have chosen a suitable session please telephone reception on 0161 223 2244 (option 3) to check availability and book.

All sessions must be pre-booked and paid for in advance. Cheques made payable to “The Eastlands Trust” are also accepted with valid cheque guarantee card.

Please note we require at least 7 days notice to transfer or cancel a session once it has been booked.

The National Cycling Centre was Britain’s first indoor Olympic standard cycling track, and since it opened in 1994, is one of the World’s finest and fastest indoor tracks. One lap is 250 metres, and the bankings are 42 ½ degrees.
