Women Only Bicycle Maintenance Course (Manchester City Centre)

This training session is for women only.  Our Cycle Maintenance starter course will give you the knowledge to check your bike is safe to ride and enable you to cope if you have a problem whilst out and about. It is best to bring your own bike but let us know if you need one providing. The course lasts around two hours and our qualified instructor might cover;

  • What the parts of your bike are – and what they do
  • Things you should check before each ride
  • Simple adjustments – e.g. brakes and gears to make sure they work smoothly and safely
  • What tools you might need and how to use them
  • How to mend punctures
  • Cleaning and lubrication

Bicycle access is via the NCP on New York Street – The ramp goes down to an underground car park. At the bottom of the ramp the green hatched lane leads to the far wall. Turn left and the hub entrance can be seen in the far corner. There is an intercom system. Buzz through to Edinburgh bikes and they will let you in. There is also a pedestrian only entrance on Parker Street adjacent to Piccadilly Gardens

Please note these courses are only open to adults (16+).
