The Love Your Bike campaign is based in Manchester. We aim to promote cycling and to help make it an attractive, accessible and fun way to get around. Co-ordinated by Manchester Friends of the Earth, we aim to work closely with other like-minded organisations and promote their activities.

GMCC Social Rides

from Swinton

A series of evening guided rides have been planned for Aug & Sept, approx one every 2 weeks, starting from Swinton Civic centre on behalf of GMCC (Greater Manchester Cycling Campaign) and LOG (Lancashire Outdoor Group).

These will be between 4 to 7 miles each way, with a pub-stop in the middle.

They will start at 6:30PM (please note new start time) from the lawns at the front of Swinton Civic Centre.

Thurs 26 Aug to Manchester City Centre: 12.5 miles return approx;

Fri 3rd Sept to Worsley Woods & Chill Factor: 12.0 miles return approx

Fri 24 Sept back to Clifton Country Park & Ringley: 9.5 miles return approx.

GMCC are running a series of evening fun cycle rides. All are welcome.

Aug 19th, Up The Irk Valley to Boggart Hole Clough.

Sep 23rd, Medlock Valley to Crime Lake and possibly Park Bridge.

Oct 21st, Along the Rochdale Canal.

Nov 18th. Around the City and along the Ship Canal.

All rides start at 5.30 p.m. at Albert Square, in front of the Town Hall.
