Comprehensive online maps for Greater Manchester showing a wide range of useful information for cyclists. The maps distinguish between different kinds of cycle facilities:
UK wide online maps, re-launched Summe 2009, which show on road and traffic free cycle routes, public transport stops, shops and amenities. These are overlaid onto OS Maps so if you zoom in you can also see all the features you would expect like forests, parks, churches and height contours. Handily, all you need to do is type in your postcode or area name and it will take you straight there. Look for the red square on the right of the home page.
Coming soon! A new online cycle journey planner – it’s not quite finished yet, it sounds very promising though, similar to the public transport journey planning facility on Transport Direct.
