Presentation of the Big Petition at Stockport Town Hall (Goyt Valley SOS)

Goyt Valley SOS: On Thursday 30th November, Stockport Council will be deciding whether to back the greenbelt-destroying Bypass. It’s now or never to stand up for the green spaces of Bredbury, Hazel Grove and Offerton. At our meeting on Tuesday in Offerton, we resolved to do all we can to make 30th November the day the Council takes notice.

On that evening at 5.30 we will gather to present our petition of 5,000-plus signatures to the councillors. The case for the road is feeble, the cost is huge – common sense can prevail.
