Critical Commute

When?

Friday 28th March 2008

Where? Various routes, culminating in Albert Square
Why? To show support for Manchester City Council's application to become a "Cycling Demonstration City" ...

On Friday 28th March, cyclists from all over Greater Manchester took part in the regular 'Critical Commute' ride, meeting in Albert Square for a press call to both mark the anniversary of the campaign and show support for Manchester City Council's bid to become a cycling demonstration city.

Critical Commute

In the bid, the Council cites the Love Your Bike campaign as part of the city's active cycle culture and draws from the recommendations that we made in our anniversary report, 'Stepping Up a Gear'.
