Tell your MP to Save our Buses! (Campaign for Better Transport)

take action

2014 is set to be the worst year yet for cuts to bus services. Almost £20m has been earmarked to be cut from local authority bus funding with potentially more on the horizon. Counties such as Worcestershire and Cumbria are proposing to cut all support for bus services whilst North Yorkshire, Dorset, Essex and Nottinghamshire are all cutting huge amounts from their bus budgets.

It’s only a year to the General Election, and MPs still don’t get how important buses are for people.

Last week MPs held a vital debate on the future of rural bus services in the House of Commons, but only 15 of them turned up. With many MPs sitting in constituencies that have suffered swingeing cuts to bus services, leaving their constituents cut off, we hoped that the debate would be well attended, with MPs voicing the concerns of bus users around the country.

Please help us make it clear to MPs why buses are vitally important and let them know that enough is enough, action must be taken to prevent the continued decline in our buses and provide them with the funding they need and deserve.

Take our quick and easy action today and help Save Our Buses!
