GM Transport 2040 Strategy consultation – Manchester Friends of the Earth’s response
Last year (2015) Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) consulted on their 2040 Vision for Transport in Greater Manchester. Manchester Friends of the Earth submitted a detailed response.
A summary of the consultation responses is available on the GM Combined Authority website. More/better cycle provision was the most commonly raised issue by both the public and stakeholders.
In July 2016, TfGM launched a 12-week consultation on the Transport 2040 Strategy.
Manchester Friends of the Earth submitted a detailed response covering the following transport issues: funding, aviation, air quality, public transport, cycling, safe and secure transport system, reduction in traffic speed in residential environments, priority for whom and noise pollution.
