International Connections: Eco-feminism and Gender Justice
Join dipti bhatnagar (Friends of the Earth Mozambique) and Rita Uwaka (Friends of the Earth Nigeria)to hear about Eco-feminist work.
Women are disproportionately affected by environmental injustice, climate change, disasters and the exploitation of nature. This is especially so for women of colour, peasant and indigenous women, LBTQ women and women workers. Join us to hear from Dipti Bhatnagar (Friends of the Earth International) and Rita Uwaka (Friends of the Earth Nigeria), as they tell us about the Eco-feminist work of Friends of the Earth in Africa and why the Friends of the Earth International campaign Gender Justice and Dismantling Patriarchy is essential in the fight to stop environmental breakdown.
The last half hour of the session will be optional and we’ll discuss how we can bring more internationalism into our campaigning.
During this webinar we will use:
- Zoom
- Powerpoint
- Breakout rooms
