Labour Party conference came to Manchester in September, and we seized on the opportunity to try to lobby Secretary of State Ruth Kelly regarding her inexplicable support for the exclusion of emissions from international aviation from the Climate Change Bill.
Campaigners from Manchester Friends of the Earth , dressed as airline crew, today presented Ruth Kelly (Secretary of State for Transport) with an aeroplane covered in postcards from her constituents urging her not to ignore aviation.
