Businesses, councils and MPs across Greater Manchester are backing Friends of the Earth’s Final Demand campaign, calling on the Government to urgently rethink its proposal to slash support for solar energy.
Representatives of local businesses, community groups and housing providers will meet John Leech MP on Friday 18 November to highlight the devastating impact that the Government’s proposal to slash support for solar energy is having in South Manchester.
Local campaigners today praised a Manchester MP for standing up for people living in cold, badly insulated homes.
Manchester Friends of the Earth today welcomed the decision by the Transport for Greater Manchester committee (TfGMC) to keep the Trans-Pennine Trail within the Metrolink corridor in Didsbury and continue to enable access for all. 
With the rising costs of petrol and diesel very much in the news , cycling to work has never been such an attractive option. Not only is it quick, it is also cheap.
