Recipe Competition – Catherine Lindley – Basmati rice with raisins, saffron and grated orange rind. Mung dal and sauteed mixed vegetables.
Fry veg/steam veg – corn, kidney beans, onion and green beans- Boil water and soak noodles- Add noodles, veg and a dash of the secret ingredient (freetrade brown demerera sugar) to the frying pan- Mix together and serve
Cook onions and garlic- Add cream and small amount of butter- Oven cook mushroms so flavour releases- Add the mushrooms and fresh herbs- Serve with cumin rice and french beans
Boil the rice and mix veg, then take off top of pepper and remove seeds. Fill pepper and bake for 30 mins, gas mark 5
4x limes if large, more if small 100ml Triple Sec 200ml Tequila Lots of crushed ice Soda water, a dash to taste Blend it all together or mix in a shaker, with gusto Wear your special hat!
