Manchester Harvest stall – August 2005
The Manchester Harvest event saw part of St. Ann’s Square turned into a full-sized allotment to encourage people to start growing their own food.
As well as promoting the health and financial benefits of home-grown food, we also made the link to the Big Ask campaign in that local food production cuts down on food miles, a growing contributor towards climate change.
And another 150 people, plus Benny the rabbit, agreed that the Government should be doing more to tackle climate change.
