Love Your Bike Welcomes Funding for GM Commuter Cycle Project

Love Your Bike welcomes today’s announcement by Norman Baker M.P (Transport Minister) that Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) £4.9 million key component bid for the GM Commuter Cycle project has been successful.

TfGM LSTF Key Component bid April 2011Love Your Bike, co-ordinated by Manchester Friends of the Earth, has consistently advocated for many of the promotional and practical measures aimed at encouraging and supporting more people to cycle, such as increased levels of secure cycle parking, adult cycle training programmes and sustained publicity and information campaigns included in the TfGM key component bid.

We work with a broad range of partner organisations across Greater Manchester helping to encourage more people to cycle. The successful TfGM bid will hopefully provide real opportunities to increase our levels of partnership working.
