Join us for our 2011 AGM & Christmas Meal

Manchester Friends of the Earth is holding its 2011 AGM and Christmas meal on Monday 5 December at Bistro 1847 on Booth Street in central Manchester (off Mosley Street, opposite the Art Gallery).

6.30pm – 7.15pm: AGM

Our AGM will be held in the restaurant and all are welcome to attend this whether or not you wish to stay for a meal – there is no charge to attend, but please bear in mind that you will only be able to vote at the AGM if you have been a fully paid-up group member for at least 28 days.

7.30pm onwards: Christmas meal

We will stay in the restaurant to enjoy a 4-course meal for a set price of £16.95. All food will be vegetarian and each course will include a vegan option. Check out the delicious Christmas menu on the Bistro 1847 website and email Stacie (S.Cohen@manchester.gov.uk) in advance with your selections – payment will be collected on the night.

Election of officers:

Group officers for 2012 will be elected at the AGM. If you wish to nominate yourself for a role, please contact the current group coordinators on office@manchesterfoe.org.uk by Monday 28 November. You can get more information on the roles from the coordinators. Please note that you must have been a group member for a minimum of 28 days before the AGM to nominate yourself for a role AND to vote in the officer elections at the AGM.

Amendments to the Constitution:

The AGM is our opportunity to review the group constitution and, where required, to make amendments to it. The constitution can be viewed on our wiki or email office@manchesterfoe.org.uk to request a copy. Amendments can be proposed by all group members: if you wish to propose an amendment, please send details to office@manchesterfoe.org.uk no later than Monday 28 November for it to be considered at the AGM.

Subscription rates:

The AGM is our opportunity to review our subscription rates. These are currently £4 per year for un-waged, £8 per year for low waged, £18 per year for waged and £30 per year for a group. Amendments can be proposed by all group members: if you wish to propose an amendment, please send details to office@manchesterfoe.org.uk no later than Monday 28 November for it to be considered at the AGM.
