Ask the Government for a risk assessment of fracking for shale gas…

take action

Last year mining company Cuadrilla triggered earthquakes in Lancashire. This was caused by drilling for shale gas in a controversial process known as fracking.

As well as causing earthquakes, fracking causes air pollution and can contaminate water supplies. And shale gas means more climate-change emissions.

Following a report from independent experts on the earthquakes, the Government has given Cuadrilla the provisional go-ahead to resume fracking. But it hasn’t looked at the other environmental impacts.

Ask the Government to carry out a full scientific assessment of all the impacts of fracking before any more shale gas development is allowed in Britain.

Please tell the Secretary of State we need to know more about fracking. Click here to send message.

Thank you.
