Help Liberians stay safe, support the distribution of Ebola prevention kits.

take action

The spread of the Ebola virus across West Africa has been fast and deadly. By August 16, 2,240 cases had been reported, of which 1,229 had already died. A total of 1,363 have been confirmed as Ebola cases. Liberia has recorded 834 of the reported cases and 466 of the related deaths. International aid agencies are saying that the numbers of reported cases and deaths have been vastly underestimated and that the situation is deteriorating quickly.

Please support Friends of the Earth Liberia and its partners in the country who are providing community relief and support in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus.

Friends of the Earth Liberia – a small organization consisting almost exclusively of local staff – is working with other civil society organizations who are contributing to ongoing efforts to stabilize the situation by raising awareness about personal hygiene and safety measures, and gathering and distributing disinfectants, buckets, and soap to vulnerable communities.

We aim to collect 30,000 euros by 15th September to provide 1,000 households with prevention kits and information leaflets to learn how to stay safe. Please give what you can to fight Ebola.

“While we wait for international help, we can do a lot ourselves. Otherwise, help might be too late for thousands of Liberians.” – Nora Bowier, Friends of the Earth Liberia

Your contribution can help this locally driven campaign to prevent the spread of Ebola in vulnerable communities in Liberia. All funds received (100%) will be transferred to Liberia.
