Can you help Manchester FoE with these upcoming events & actions?

There are couple of actions and events coming up over the next couple of weekends that we’d love your help with!

Sat 25 Mar: Fracking petitioning in Bolton

This Saturday, Frack Free Greater Manchester will be doing some petitioning outside Bolton Town Hall from 11am to 1pm to add to the 150 signatures we’ve already got calling on local contractor AE Yates to terminate its contract with fracking company Cuadrilla.

Sat 1 Apr: Stalls at Vegan Festival Green Fair (Cross St Chapel) & Energise Festival (Hulme Garden Centre)

The Saturday after (1st April), we’ve got two stalls to choose from – one from 11am to 6pm at the Vegan Festival Green Fair at Cross St Chapel, and another from noon to 6pm at Energise Festival in Hulme Garden Centre.  We’re being a bit ambitious doing two stalls at the same time, so we’d definitely appreciate a couple more volunteers to help us cover them both – even for an hour or two would be really helpful!  🙂

Sun 2 Apr: Young FOE Manchester meeting, Green Fish

And on Sunday 2nd, we need a couple of volunteers to support the inaugural meeting of Young FOE Manchester from 1pm to 3pm at the Green Fish.  To help with this, you’d ideally need to be DBS checked and undertake some basic safeguarding training in advance of the event.

As with all our actions and events, don’t worry if you’ve never done one before – we’ll fill you in on all the details beforehand, brief you on the day, and there will always be someone on hand to help out on the rare occasion you get any questions you’re not sure of the answer to!  🙂
