Can you help drive forward Manchester’s work on climate change?

Are you passionate about Manchester becoming a leading city for action on climate change? Can you help to engage and inspire new audiences to get involved? Do you have experience of bringing about positive change (not necessarily on climate change)?

If the answer is yes, then now is your chance to play a key role in Manchester’s efforts to become a zero carbon, zero waste, climate resilient city!

At this year’s Manchester Climate Change Conference, it was announced that the city would be establishing a new structure to drive forward the successful delivery of the Manchester Climate Change Strategy 2017-50.

At the heart of the structure will be the new Manchester Climate Change Board, which will be responsible for supporting, overseeing and championing climate change action in the city. Key to its success will be the ability for the new Board and its members to engage with and influence audiences right across the city.

We are now looking for three people who live, work or study within Greater Manchester, to join the Board. Including for the two spaces reserved for 16-25 year olds* from the local area.

The application process is open from 11th July 2017 until 6th October 2017.

For full details please read the invitation to apply, which includes the Board’s working draft Terms of Reference, the full Board membership, and the application form.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Gavin Elliott, Chair, MACF Steering Group

*16-25 years old on 1st November 2017.
