Tell Party leaders to debate climate and nature on live TV
Time is running out to tackle the climate emergency. The new government will have to make climate action an absolute priority. So what would party leaders do for the environment if their party was in charge?
More people than ever have said they want more government action on the climate crisis. And with a general election on 12 December, parties across the board will have to show that they’re boosting their climate commitments.
So let’s take this opportunity to drive up ambition for climate action by getting party leaders to debate nature and climate on live TV.
Labour, the Liberal Democrats, the SNP and the Green Party have already agreed to a live TV debate on climate change. Can you help us tip the scales and get the others on board too?
Friends of the Earth is part of a wide coalition of organisations supporting the campaign for a televised party leaders climate and nature debate. The campaign is being led by climate charity Possible and school strike organisers the UK Student Climate Network.
