Urge your MP: protect our rights before it’s too late
As we face worsening climate, nature and cost-of-living crises, the UK government should be doing all it can to empower communities. Yet instead, Prime Minister Sunak is pushing ahead with plans that could further weaken our basic human rights.
Dramatic changes to UK law could be ushered through parliament in the coming weeks. If passed, the Public Order Bill would threaten our democratic right to protest.
And now the Home Secretary is championing an even more extreme measure – leaving the European Convention on Human Rights. Which would remove our most fundamental human rights and restrict justice.
But we have a chance to stop these measures and protect our rights and freedoms.
If enough of us write to our MPs urging them to oppose these measures, we can make sure they don’t become law and harm our communities for years to come.
