We’re calling on the Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) to take a simple step: ditch the coal.
GMPF is the dirtiest pension fund in the country, with over £1.8 billion invested in fossil fuels.
And coal is the dirtiest, most dangerous fossil fuel – the single biggest contributor to our climate emergency.
GMPF has hundreds of millions of pounds invested in companies that are mining coal. This is both ethically and financially irresponsible.
It’s time for GMPF to follow other big investors and ditch the coal.
