Manchester Friends of the Earth is fuelled by volunteer energy. This page lists just a few tasks we currently have on our collective to do list.

Perhaps you’d be interested in helping with one of these? If you do, please just get in touch!

1. Adding media coverage to the website

We have recently developed a space on our website to list (and where possible link to) the group’s media coverage from the last ten years or so and would love a volunteer to move across our listings (which are standard table) into a format (a google doc). We envisage it would be a few hours work and we would provide training on how to navigate our wiki and wordpress website.

Interested? Please contact graeme[at]manchesterfoe.org.uk to find out more

2. Contact schools about the clean air campaign

Do you have links with schools in your area? We are looking for someone to contact local primary schools about the new clean air education pack and promote our clean air schools competition. We would provide you with guidance on how to go about this.

Interested? Please contact cat[at]manchesterfoe.org.uk for further details

3. Magazine distribution – help needed!

Our next Newsletter/ magazine  themed ‘A plastic-free Christmas’  will be published late November for distribution before Christmas. We would love to drop off copies across as many parts of Greater Manchester as possible so we will need help with:

  1. Venue ideas
  2. Help with distribution

Interested?!  Please contact cat[at]manchesterfoe.org.uk

4. Add to our sustainable recipe collection

We are updating the Food section of our website and find that recipes are always a hit! If you have any tasty sustainable recipes that we could add to the site please get in touch.

Let damian[at]manchesterfoe.org.uk know – a picture of the dish would also be great! 🙂
