Climate Change
Do you agree that Greater Manchester should adopt the Tyndall Centre’s science-based carbon budgets, set targets to halve the region’s emissions in the next five years and become carbon neutral by 2038?

Divestment from Fossil Fuels
Do you agree that the Greater Manchester Pension Fund should fully divest from fossil fuels in the next five years?

Yes

I think the pension fund should become much more answerable to the people within the greater Manchester borough and we should have freedom to advise the trustees on what schemes we believe would be much more ethical for the pension fund to invest in

Walking and Cycling
Will you support your local council allocating funding to implement the walking and cycling (active travel) measures contained in Chris Boardman's ‘Made to Move’ report?

Yes

please note the scheme has to make cover for those who cannot walk more than 250 yards unaided and needs access to the push cycles with the electric batteries

Will you call on your local council to introduce ‘parking exclusion zones’ around local schools at peak times?

Yes

as a brittle asthma sufferer and my mother and my grandmother all dying prematurely of asthma I totally and emphatically support this scheme

Will you support a ban on the use of neonicotinoid pesticides in your local council area and work to phase out the use of other pollinator-harming pesticides?

Yes

as a small holder myself and operating an organic farm, I welcome this measure and offer any ward member to come and see our operation, on how to grow your own and keep your family going 12 months on vegetables and fruit at 1100 feet above sea level

Will you support the phase-out of single-use plastics in your local authority by 2020?

before if we can achieve it, I see it all the time, if I am lucky enough to go to the coast

Will you support the introduction of a cap on emissions from flights to and from Manchester Airport?

Yes

any developments on air travel emissions must be given priority

Do you support the introduction of a GM-wide building standard for all new developments to be zero-carbon and climate resilient?

Yes

yes we have been campaigning on this matter for so long and I want to ensure that this occurs in st james ward where so much rebuild is scheduled over the next 12 months
