Art, Airscapes and the Anthropocene
This event brings together artists, scientists and activists to discuss the air quality emergency from within mega cities like Shanghai to smaller urban areas such as Manchester. Presentations and discussion will explore the role of art and media in witnessing pollution scapes and atmospheric inequalities, as well as considering the need for change.
This event is organised by John van Aitken and Jane Brake from the Institute of Urban Dreaming in collaboration with CFCCA to coincide with the launch of their photo-text book Shanghai Blue published in March 2020.
