Big Climate Fightback: Smithills Tree Planting (hosted by Woodland Trust – Smithills Estate)

The Woodland Trust would like to invite you to our Smithills Estate Tree Planting Event on 30th November!

In November this year, The Woodland Trust plans to plant 17,000 trees on the Smithills Estate and we need your help! We would love you to come and join us for our public tree planting day and help create the forests of the future. There are so many reasons to plant trees! Trees help to tackle climate change and air pollution, reduce flood risks, create beautiful woodlands for people and create habitats for many species of wildlife. And we would love you to come and join us to help us reach our vision of planting 17,000 trees at Smithills.

No experience is necessary, all tools will be provided and we have Woodland Trust staff and volunteers on hand to guide you on what to do and offer any support needed. Everyone can get involved! Toilets will be available on site.

Please book onto your preferred time slot below. Each session lasts for 1 hour.

If you have accessibility needs then please get in touch directly at smithillsestate@woodlandtrust.org.uk and we will discuss your needs and how we can accommodate you.

The meeting point for the tree planting is Walker Fold Car Park, BL1 7PT where staff will meet you and take you up to the tree planting site. Please wear sensible footwear and clothing – it could be muddy!

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Due to local capacity and logistics, numbers are limited. Please do not attend without a ticket.

Book your preferred session via Eventbrite.
