Start at Burrs country park and head round the back of the police station, past the Grammar school and towards Elton Reservoir. We will then head down the canal to Radcliffe after a very short time on the road we will pick up the Outwwod trail and head towards Agecroft.

We will then head towards Giant’s seat garden Centre and the meccano bridge. We will then follow the canal back behind the police station and back to the Burrs. We will aim to stop at the Horshoe pub (opens at 12) for a snack and a drink.

This route is traffic free apart from approximately half a mile in Radcliffe and has only gentle slopes.. It can quite muddy in a couple of places if there’s been rain in the previous days. It would suit ladies looking to move up from beginners rides and those who prefer a longer ride.
Please bring a spare inner tube and dress for the weather.
