Business, transport and the Mayor’s green vision – have your say. (Green Summit Listening event)
Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, has a vision to make Greater Manchester one of the leading green cities in Europe – and he wants to hear from you.
To help realise this ambition, he’s holding a landmark Green Summit on 21 March. Ahead of this, a wide range of organisations are holding listening workshops with key stakeholder groups to explore the ways in which we can all shape a sustainable future for the city region and discuss possible pathways and milestones for achieving carbon neutrality as quickly as possible.
As part of the Summit, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) will be hosting one of the workshop sessions focusing on green transport. We recognise that the region’s businesses have a critical interest in this area and an important role to play in creating a carbon-neutral economy.
At the event you’ll have the chance to share your views on how transport can support the Mayor’s environmental vision while also growing our economy and moving people, goods and services as efficiently as possible.
Your thoughts will provide crucial input and give you the opportunity to help shape Greater Manchester’s future, feeding into the Mayor’s ‘green charter’ to be developed at the Summit.
Places at the listening workshop are limited so, to express your interest in attending, please RSVP to: corporate.affairs@tfgm.com.
We’ll reply as soon as possible to confirm your place.
