Canal, Coal and Carriages (Guided Ride)

A great new ride that will take us on a tour of our industrial heritage. We’ll start at Monton and ride down the canal path to our first stopping point at Astley Heritage museum. You may recognise some of the scenery from the Peaky Blinders. We’ll then head off to Irlam station which is a fabulous place to visit! After a brew stop we’ll head back to Monton through the Port Salford Greenway.

Please make sure your bike is in good working order and carry a spare inner tube or repair kit and dress to suit the weather. We’ll be stopping for refreshments so bring money if you wish to buy something.

Please post in the conversation tab if you’ve any questions and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Places are limited so please book online.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is listed in our cycling events calendar for Greater Manchester. It is not organised by Manchester Friends of the Earth nor the Love Your Bike campaign and does not necessarily reflect their policies. We recommend checking with the organisers in case of a change of time or location.
