Carbon Literacy Training for Educators

Manchester’s first full Carbon Literacy session specifically for education settings will be taking place at Friends’ Meeting House (6 Mount Street, M2 5NS) on Saturday 13th July, 9.30am-5pm. This session is for any member of staff at an education setting in Manchester, as well as Governors and Parents/Carers with an interest in tackling climate change.

Participation will support the setting you are connected to in achieving their Carbon Literate Educator Award. Manchester City Council would like as many education settings as possible to achieve this as part of Manchester’s bid to become the first Carbon Literate City.

The session will cover the science of Climate Change, including definitions, the causes and the effects. This will demonstrate the importance of acting to tackle climate change, and will also give you practical ideas of how to do so in your personal life as well as at your education setting.

Lunch will be provided alongside refreshments throughout the day.

If you would like to attend, please register by Friday 14th June.
