Climate Action Bury: Kick-off event

What’s a Climate Action Group you ask? It’s the local solution to a global crisis. Powered and supported by Friends of the Earth, each group has the same three aims:

✅ Convince our council to adopt a Climate Action Plan
✅ Create local solutions to climate breakdown
✅ Demand change at a national level

Climate Action Bury is our opportunity to share ideas, knowledge and solutions to the climate crisis at a local level. The way in which we approach these solutions will be up to us to shape and decide.

At this kick-off event we’ll imagine what a carbon neutral Bury might look like ten years from now, and begin to organise how we can participate in making it happen. Both through getting Bury council to adopt a Climate Action Plan and by working together on local solutions to the climate emergency.

Already part of a environmental group, project or initiative? Let us know! Part of this groups goal will be to bring groups together and help amplify work that’s already happening.
